Nomadic Tendencies Film Festival and the Beach Theatre are proudly presenting a 3-day retrospective of SiFF films as a way of introducing ourselves to the the local and surrounding communities and as an opportunity for local film lovers to become acquainted with SiFF's style and what to expect from its child, Nomadic Tendencies, when its full fledged festival returns to the Beach Theatre - from Aug 27 - Sept 5, 2010 - to screen a full 10 days of independent films. In preparation of the upcoming 2010 Nomadic Tendencies Film Festival which will take place at the Beach Theatre in St. Pete Beach, FL, from Aug 27 - Sept 5, 2010, we welcome you to join us for a retrospective of films from our past festivals brought to you by Nomadic Tendencies parent film festival, Strasbourg International Film Festival and the Beach Theatre. A little history... Since its inception, SiFF has found itself with nomadic tendencies - so much so that the festival decided to embrace the idea full-heartedly allowing it to become its own entity. During SiFF's first year, the festival screened in 8 locations throughout Strasbourg's City Center. In effect, traveling around the city as a nomad might hence the birth of Nomadic Tendencies. The second year, SiFF crossed the border screening several films in Germany. This year, Nomadic Tendencies will grow even more into its own screening more nomadically and independently than ever before as it spreads its wings in St. Pete Beach, FL at the Beach Theatre.
